What Is Ackelbet Soup?

Ackelbet Soup is an exploration into creativity, the creative spirit, that energy emmiting from the universal creative center that flows freely to us all. Too many of us "human folk", when challenged by a request to present, speak, publicly perform in any manner reply, "I don't have a creative bone in my body!"

That is so far from true. No matter our age or what we do, we each and everyone approach multiple tasks daily in a highly creative manner. It's at our core to do so.

At one time in our lives, each of us experienced the freedom to paint cows purple, share our innermost secrets with close friends whom, for some unknown reason, others just couldn't see, we could form incredible structures from Tinker Toys, Lincoln Logs, paper, cardboard, toilet paper tubes and Play-dough. When asked to play the part of a Queen or King, what five year old needs to do research? They simply assume the role instantly exclaiming with playful glee, "Oh...off with your head!"

Somehow, along the path that we too easily accept as reality, most of us decide to follow the rules that are given, "You have to color in the lines!", or "You can't paint cows purple because they really aren't purple!" Now, just think about that. What if there are auras...do you believe some people can see auras? What if as children we all truly do see auras and that's why we paint cows or pigs or horses red and green and purple and mauve.

Do you ever think about that other dimension...an other reality. Do you still, at least on occasion, imagine what if? If there is an alternative universe, it just may be filled with all of our old "imaginary friends". Being a King or Queen or Judge or whatever doesn't really take research if we trust in the power inherent in the words themselves. Queen really means something when just spoken and heard. The word is all ready fully loaded so to speak. Furthermore, our "birth memory" is the mother-load of all resources. This is an area to be covered in detail under "B".

Anyway, we are fully loaded creatively. We are born as creative entities. We all serve a creative purpose, no matter what our lot in life, what we do professionally, what we have let ourselves become or what we are striving to be. We just need to be allowed, given permission, shown how to tweak our receptors and tune our transmitters. That's what we will explore in Ackelbet Soup: Creativity A-Z.

In the course of developing Ackelbet Soup, I will also provide a practical workshop in the art of re-acting (where I'll be happy to explain why I prefer re-acting to acting along with many other opinions and tips you may find surprising but, I feel quite useful). Much will be said regarding the dreaded "audition" and the subject of that all too real rejection with which every performer must learn to live.

The creative process as it applies to all art forms, to all manner of communications, to life itself will be looked at from many angles through many disciplines historically, philosophically and practically through topics that will hopefully delight.
